Advance Copies of Terra Nova Available

Advance copies of Terra Nova: The Search are now available for ordering. It could take a few weeks to be available on Amazon, but in the meantime they can be ordered directly from the printer, CreateSpace, who is owned by Amazon.

Amazon accounts don’t work at CreateSpace, so you’ll need to create a new account, and there also isn’t free shipping at CreateSpace. To make up for that, I’ve got a discount code to take $2 off your order, which should make the shipping costs minimal. This code will expire once the book is available on Amazon.

Terra Nova: The Search

$2 off code: 5VZEJMVQ

I’ve placed an order for 30 books myself, which I expect will be here by the end of next week. If you’d like to reserve one of those 30 books, please let me know and I will hold one for you. Otherwise, if you don’t expect to see me anytime soon, you can order one for yourself from CreateSpace! When it’s available at Amazon I’ll post that here.

Update: Discount code has expired. You can buy it from Amazon now!

Terra Nova: The Search

I know a few new people are coming to the site that want to know about the book, so here is the back of the book “teaser.” Hope it sounds interesting.

In a small central California town, a seismologist working for the United States Geological Survey has made a terrifying discovery. A recent seismic phenomenon is predicting global volcanic activity that threatens to wipe mankind from the face of the earth. Fearing widespread panic and civil disobedience, it is decided to keep the truth a secret from the public. In order to save the human race, the President pushes forward with a dramatic initiative to overhaul NASA and begin a new mission: to colonize deep space.

The newly formed deep space team must harness the technology of researcher and single-dad Tom Scolari, but with their eyes focused on the stars, the odds are against them at home. News of the earth’s demise is on the verge of becoming public, and increasingly violent eruptions continue to mount around the globe. The survival of the human race rests upon the shoulders of a few, and time is running out.

Welcome to Charlton Books

Welcome to the brand new Charlton Books website! Terra Nova: The Search should be available within the next week or two, and in the mean time I’ve been getting this site up and running (with my brother’s help of course).

This whole writing a book and marketing it thing is new to me, so we’ll see how this site evolves. At the very least, I hope it can be a means for my readers (and yes, I can already use the plural!) to get in touch with me.

Look for more over the next couple weeks. I highly recommend you subscribe to the RSS feeds in the top right. If you’ve never used RSS before, give Google Reader a try.
